Snow and ice causes Southeastern station closures

There are 50 stations affected by this week’s weather conditions

Southeastern has announced the closure of 50 stations today, implementing an emergency timetable following the snow and ice that has swept the nation this week.

Citing ‘a more reliable service for our passengers’, the rail provider has set up alternative routes and times for journeys throughout the region.

A total of five stations on the Hastings line have been affected, namely Crowhurst, Knockholt, Frant, Stonegate and West St Leonards, while a further 12 have been closed on the Paddock Wood line, including Chartham, Marden and Sandwich.

On the Grove Park line, meanwhile, which covers Sevenoaks, Bromley North, Sundridge Park and Knockholt will not be open.
