Pub festival returns to park with chart-topping music acts

THE popular Pub in the Park festival is to return to Tunbridge Wells next July with some of the most memorable music acts from the noughties.

Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge returns to Dunorlan Park on July 7-9, where he will be joined on Saturday evening by chart-topping pop band McFly. London drum and bass trio Rudimental will headline the Friday night with a DJ set.

On Saturday afternoon, festivalgoers will see Mercury Music Prize-winning singer-songwriter Badly Drawn Boy, while disco legends Sister Sledge will be closing the festival on Sunday.

Along with the music, more than 19,000 dishes are expected to be served at the Tunbridge Wells event this year from a host of local pubs and restaurants.

Miranda Martin, from Pub in the Park, said: “We love coming to Tunbridge Wells. It’s a fan favourite on our Pub in the Park tour and we can’t wait to come back. We’re hard at work behind the scenes creating the biggest event to date and it won’t be one to miss. Keep an eye out for more announcements coming soon.”
