POLICE yesterday (February 7) confirmed that their investigation into an alleged assault on a member of staff at St Gregory’s Catholic School by a pupil just before the Christmas has been dropped.
The incident came close to triggering a strike by staff members belonging the NUT at the Tunbridge Wells school last month, but was avoided following talks.
A police spokesman said: “Following a full and through investigation no further action has been taken and the matter has now been referred back to the school.”
