Tonight’s fundraising event in aid of The Pickering Cancer Drop-In Centre will take place at a later date, The Forum has confirmed.
Pickering Jam is an event being held to raise money for the charity, after they suffered a break-in on New Year’s Eve, and was set to take place tonight (March 2) with local talent such as The Pillows and Code:Marla performing.
However, after a week of adverse weather conditions and more snow forecast for today, The Forum have taken the decision to move the event to a (hopefully warmer) March 23.
“We’re really sorry to have to do this, but there isn’t much we can do about the weather!” they explained in a tweet.
They also confirmed that tickets purchased for tonight’s show will be valid for Friday 23, but that anyone who is unable to attend on that date can seek a refund.
The line-up for the new date is being confirmed, and will be announced soon.
