More than 400 Santas and Penguins raced against each other on the 5K course, with one flappy fish-eater winning in a time of 17 minutes.

Event Organiser Michelle Winstone said: “The event was once again an huge success. It was fantastic to see so many people supporting the Hospice and having fun at the same time.

“A huge Ho Ho thank you goes to our sponsors Fidelity for their ongoing support in making the day possible, plus The Schools at Somerhill for being our fantastic hosts and COOK for donating the delicious mince pies that everyone enjoyed.”

Leeann, a Santa from Sevenoaks, said: “I am so pleased to have taken part in the Ho Ho Hospice Rumble this year. I am not a natural runner but found the day very enjoyable and rewarding.

“It was lovely to take part in such a well organised family event and to know that I was raising money for the Hospice and the important work they do.”

The money raised goes towards the £7million needed to fund hospice services for terminally ill patients, their families and carers, and help the team to spread a little festive joy.
