A SECURITY guard has suffered facial injuries after being stabbed at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

The victim was attacked by a patient at Pembury Hospital just after 6:00am on Thursday (October 6).

He suffered facial injuries ‘consistent with stab wounds’ but has been discharged from care, Kent Police have said.

A suspect has been arrested and is now under the care of medical professionals.

A spokesperson for Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust said the hospital was ‘open as usual’ after the incident.
