PARALYMPIAN swimmer Claire Cashmore has become a patron of Tunbridge Wells charity Tree of Hope.
Tree of Hope offers help and support to families of sick and disabled children who need specialist medical surgery, treatment and therapy.
Claire, who received an MBE for her services to swimming this year, qualifying for the Athens Paralympics at the age of 16 and won two bronze medals.
Last year’s Games in Rio were the 28-year-old’s Claire’s fourth Paralympics – and her most successful, winning gold and silver medals.
Claire said: “It is a huge honour to have been asked to be a patron of the Tree of Hope charity.
“I have been very lucky that my disability has not stopped me from living life to the full and I am really passionate about helping those with a disability or illness that can’t get the support they need to live a life without boundaries.”

“She is a fabulous ambassador for our charity and we are extremely pleased to have her on board.
