Tunbridge Wells’ gold-standard gymnasts took tea as guests of honour in the mayor’s parlour.
Sam Large, 14, and 11-year-old Hector Kinghorn were invited to the reception in Cllr David Elliott’s office last Wednesday in recognition of their gold medal in their age group at the European Championships in Germany last month. The pair had already won gold medals at events in Portugal and Belgium this year.
Cllr Elliott, said: “They are a huge credit to Tunbridge Wells and their families, and it is important that we recognise and celebrate their sporting success and hard work.”
