Man accused of Rusthall rape faces further charges

THE aspiring model and actor who was accused of raping a woman in Rusthall last year is now facing further charges.

Chiron Hutchinson, 19, of Mount Pleasant, Uckfield, will stand trial on August 7 on 19 charges against five alleged victims.

A former pupil of St Bede’s School near Hailsham, Hutchinson was originally accused of one charge of raping a woman at a secluded wooded spot just off Harmony Street in Rusthall on October 8.

He now faces nine offences of rape, two of attempted rape and eight of sexual assault between November 1 2015 and October 8 last year. He denies the charges.

His trial is expected to last for four weeks, with a pre-trial review on June 23. He is currently remanded in custody at Elmley Prison on the isle of Sheppey.
