Macmillan consultant thrilled to be chosen as M&S ambassador

SARA HODGKINSON, a Macmillan Urology Consultant Radiographer from Maidstone &
Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust [MTW], has been chosen as an ambassador for Marks & Spencer. Macmillan and M&S have been in partnership since 2010, with the nationwide chain as the offi cial partner of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Last year the retailer raised £3.2million for Macmillan – enough to fund 66 nurses, occupational therapists and dieticians.
Sara is one of 11 Macmillan professionals who will share their stories of what they do day-to-dayto help people living with cancer. She has worked as a Macmillan Site specialist Radiographer at MTW for ten years. As a Consultant Radiographer, she treats
around 300 patients every month.
She said: “I am absolutely delighted to be an ambassador for M&S and the vital fundraising work they carry out alongside Macmillan.
“This kind of work ensures that no one ever has to face cancer alone and that we, as healthcare professionals, can offer the best possible care and support at the times it’s needed the most.”
