Litter fines generate £100,000 for Tunbridge Wells council

Litter enforcement officers working on behalf of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council have collected more than £100,000 in fines so far this year.

The officers, supplied by private company Kingdom Security, have issued 1,425 fixed penalty notices – which equates to an 11 per cent increase in penalties since last year.

Included in these penalties are £50 dog fouling fines and £80 penalties for dropping cigarette ends.
