Hope for big turnout at annual bike ride

Chiddingstone Castle Summer Vintage Fair

This summer’s Royal Tunbridge Wells Bike Ride is introducing an 85-mile version for more experienced cyclists. Less challenging routes will be over 25 miles and 55 miles.

Now in its fourth year, it is hoped that 500 cyclists will take part in the event, which will start at Dunorlan Park on Sunday September 4.

The longer route will go Brenchley and Marden, then head south to Hawkhurst, Etchingham and down to Windmill Hill before returning via Heathfield, Eridge and Penshurst.

The organisers of the race are seeking corporate sponsorship. For more information, visit www.tunbridgewellsbikeride.co.uk
