Calverley Grounds ice rink tipped for record ticket sales

Top figure skaters will give displays to celebrate the opening of this year’s Tunbridge Wells outdoor ice rink.

Jodie Russell and Aaron Freeman will perform, along with samba band Bloco Fogo, on Friday, November 20 from 6pm.

The Calverley Grounds rink will ‘offer something for everyone’ until January 3, with mother and toddler sessions, Father Christmas in a log cabin, presents and ‘festive produce’ for sale and ‘lots of mouth-watering food’.

Tunbridge Wells mayor David Elliott said: “The ice rink is the perfect destination for some winter fun. Royal Tunbridge Wells is a great place to be this Christmas.”

Advance booking is recommended for Thursday and Friday evenings, school holidays and weekends. An hour’s skating including boot hire costs from £7 for children and £9.50 for adults. Parent and toddler skating will run every morning before 11am.

To book, visit the Assembly Hall or www.tunbridgewellsatchristmas.com or call 01892 554645. The onsite ice rink box office opens on November 20.
