‘Extremely generous’ companies and passers-by helped Knight Frank Tunbridge Wells raise £1,500 for charity.

As part of a national company initiative, the branch held a ‘day of giving’ at its Mount Pleasant Road office last Thursday.

Staff gave away food donated by Cau restaurant to the public in exchange for donations, while jeweller G Collins and Sons paid to advertise in Knight Frank’s window space for a week – and the Times was also there in support.

Office head Rupert Connell said: “It was good fun. I was amazed by how generous passers-by were with donations.

“We are enormously grateful to the Times of Tunbridge Wells, CAU restaurant and G Collins and Sons who have all been extremely generous in their support of this event.”

The money will go to LandAid, Crohn’s & Colitis UK, Mary’s Meals, Guide Dogs and The Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

Nationally the firm has raised £85,000 and with donations coming in, is hoping to exceed £100,000.
