Fatal collision in Cranbrook

Kent Police said the incident happened around 5.20pm when the man’s white Peugeot Bipper van travelling from Goudhurst towards the A229 left the carriageway and collided with a hedgerow.

The driver, said to live near the village in Tunbridge Wells borough, was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance where he later died.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses to call the appeal line on 01622 798538 quoting DK/DH/142/18. Alternatively they can email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk.
