Crowborough murder investigation: Man, 22, to appear in court

A 22-year-old man is to appear in court today [Monday, April 30], charged with the murder of a female relative.

Thomas Fisher, of no fixed address, was arrested after Fiona Fisher, 51, was found dead by police at an address in Lordswell Lane, Crowborough, on Friday [April 27].

He has also been charged with fraud, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance, and is set to appear at Hastings Magistrates’ Court.

The severity of the case means it is likely to be swiftly deferred to a crown court.

Fiona Fisher’s Facebook profile says she was Assistant Manager at Tunbridge Wells shop L’Occitane.

Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident at this time.Sussex Police has released the following statement on behalf of Ms Fisher’s family.

“Fiona will be sadly missed by her daughter Megan, her mother Dorothy and stepfather Les, as well as her father. There are no words to explain the love those around her felt for her, she is irreplaceable.

‘At this time we would please hope that everyone could respect our privacy and allow her friends and family to grieve.’
