A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an incident in Crowborough.
Investigations are continuing after the body of a woman was found at an address, locally reported as Lordswell Lane.
It is understood the woman was a relation to the 22-year-old man who has been taken to custody.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said: “Police have arrested a man after finding a body of a woman on Friday.
“Officers attended the property at 7.20pm in response to a welfare check. Upon speaking to a 22 year-old man at the address, a search of the property was made.
“The deceased woman was a relation to the man who was found inside. He was arrested on suspicion of murder.
“He is in custody and the investigation is ongoing. Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident at the time.”
