Create some magic at Hospice in the Weald's Christmas market

In addition to the 45 craft and food stalls, shoppers can join in workshops to create a personalised Christmas wreath, make baubles for the tree or prepare a Christmas pudding.

The market organiser, Kelly Heaton-Ralph, said: “It’s a great time to pick up some unusual Christmas gifts you won’t see anywhere else.

“But we also see the market as a chance to welcome everyone through our doors to find out more about the hospice. We really want to host the whole family and give them a great day out.”

She added: “The workshops should be really good fun. The craft workshop costs £15 but we’ll supply all the materials to create a superb wreath.

“The pudding class costs £10, again with all the ingredients – all you’ll have to do at the end is take it home and put it in the oven.

“And making the baubles is one where children can join in. That class costs just £7.50 and they’ll be able to paint the decorations any way they like.”

Each workshop will be held three times a day, and there will also be a Santa’s grotto, for which bookings are not required. Entry to the market is £3 with under-12s free.
