With the Alps as the backdrop, the team representing The Chapel hairdressing salon prepare to set off on their epic 1,000-mile charity bike ride from Switzerland back home to Tunbridge Wells.

They hope to raise £50,000 for Pickering Cancer Drop-In Centre and Cancer Research UK. Five staff from the salon were diagnosed with cancer in the last couple of years. Three of them, aged between 26 and 34, passed away.

The team is headed by salon co-founders Toby and Amanda Dicker with son Bert taking part in the final leg of the eight-day cycle.
