Charity puts best swing forward

A golf day set up by a local children’s charity has raised £2,500 for their cause.

Tree of Hope, which supports families with disabled or ill children to raise the funds they need to pay for specialist care that is not freely available through the NHS, held the event at Nizels Golf & Country Club in Hildenborough.

Prizes

With the scorching heat reaching 30 degrees centigrade on the day, six teams of golfers from local companies who support the charity toured the course, which was recently host to the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters Tournament.

The overall winner was the team Hit ‘N’ Hope, which was led by Tree of Hope’s Finance Manager, David Grist.

Gill Gibb, CEO at Tree of Hope, said: “There was some great golf played during the day and some fabulous prizes which raised £2,500.

“This money will be put to extremely good use helping our many families.”
