Day time use of Crescent Road Car Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells is being restricted to permit holders only from Tuesday May 29.

The restriction which applies Monday to Friday, 8am until 6pm, until further notice, will allow larger areas of the car park to be closed off for the refurbishment work that is taking place.

Councillor Alan McDermott Planning & Transportation portfolio holder said: ‘We apologise for any inconvenience this causes car park users. The work that’s being done will improve the car park and make it a better experience for visitors.’

During the restricted hours of Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, non-permit holders are asked to use other town centre car parks including Royal Victoria Place and Meadow Road. A member of staff will be at the car park to assist motorists and redirect them to other facilities. Outside the restricted times parking is for all vehicles as normal.
