Batcheller Monkhouse charity bake off

September was a busy month for the Charity Committee, with two fundraising events for Batcheller Monkhouse Charity of the Year, The Chestnut Tree House. The bike ride was hugely successful, seeing staff from both Pulborough and Tunbridge Wells cycling 64km through the beautiful albeit hilly, Sussex Countryside.

The highlight for the Tunbridge Wells office however had to be the bake off, judged by celebrity chef, Rosemary Shrager. Every member of the office took part in the event, baking and providing raffle prizes. The judging was carried out in true bake off style with no holding back on opinion! However Tom Bodley-Scotts fourth attempted Victoria Sponge impressed Rosemary Sharger the most, with other successes including Zoe Stricklands cheese straws and Mark Haffendens fruit scones to name a few.

These combined efforts have raised a fantastic £1,075 for The Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.
