The incident happened around 2.30pm on Wednesday [September 19] as children were inside the secondary, although no students were involved or at the scene.
Bennett has a long driveway, with the school gates at Culverden Down road.
Kent Police were called at 2.37pm after reports of ‘suspicious activity’.
A spokesman said: “Quantities of cannabis were discovered by officers inside the van. Following the collision the occupants of the vehicle left the scene on foot. Three men were subsequently located and arrested in connection with the cultivation of cannabis.
“They have now been released pending further investigation.”
