A new neighbourhood park in Lakewood has been opened by Town & Country housing association as part of its ongoing regeneration of Sherwood.
Complete with a playground, which was installed by Hill Partnership, the project joins a long list of improvements in the area, including those made to TN2 Community Square and enhancements of Sherwood Lake.
The Lakewood Jubilee Neighbourhood Park cost £238,300 and is part of a wider £34million Sherwood regeneration scheme from Town & Country which was approved in April 2012.
It was officially opened to the public by MP Greg Clark in front of a crowd of local parents and children. To celebrate the event there was a free hog roast and refreshments.
