All the fun of the fair

A NURSERY in Tunbridge Wells raised £1,750 at their annual summer fair last month, to help them provide low cost and free childcare to families in need.
The not-for-profit St George’s Community Children’s Project hosted the event in their Chilston Road garden, with Mayor Julia Soyke in attendance along with parents, staff and members of the local community.
They enjoyed a BBQ, Pimm’s, cakes, a tombola and face painting, and the children were entertained by a dynamic show from performer Kazzamataz and a singalong with Eli Palfreyman.
Delighted St George’s Cenydd Milne said: “We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the fair by buying raffle tickets, donating prizes and joining us on the day. The money we’ve raised will make a real difference to all of the children we care for at St George’s.”
Mayor Soyke said of the July 21 event: “I loved the super-happy atmosphere at the fair, and was delighted to hear that Ofsted ‘outstanding’ rated St George’s is able to offer places to children from all backgrounds, even the most vulnerable and hard-up.
“This includes victims of domestic abuse, such as those being helped by my chosen charity DAVSS.”
