TWODS bring Grease-mania to diner

Set design in Of Mice and Men is sparse, but very effective

This year, Grease celebrates it’s 40th anniversary as the best musical of all time.

To honour this, Tunbridge Wells Operatic and Dramatic Society will treat audiences to a revival of the original high school musical at the Assembly Hall Theatre, from May 15 to 19.

To whet our appetites for some ‘Summer Loving’, lastweek TWODS – who received an Award for Excellence for their Nov 2017 production of My Fair Lady – took over the A21 Diner in Hurst Green in full 1950s costume.

The event saw 35 actors and three vintage American cars take part in a photo shoot in the retro surroundings, recreating classic scenes from the musical and of course, showing off their best moves.
