THE Whiting and Hammond Sevens tournament will be contested on April 29-30 at Tunbridge Wells RFC.
This well-established event -incorporates the regional 24 Sevens Series qualifying event as well as a friendly version.
The 24 Sevens Series is the Rugby -Football Union’s national sevens competition for adult players.
It culminates in a national final held at Bath’s Recreation Ground.
Each local qualifier event will feature a minimum of one women’s and two men’s tournaments.
All clubs in Kent have been -encouraged to enter in order to make it a -countywide event.
The men’s event will be held on Saturday April 29 while the women’s -qualifier is running as part of a Festival of Female Rugby on Sunday April 30, including Kent Under-13s, 15s and 18s Girls Sevens.
