Rugby: Tonbridge Juddians Academy end wonder season on high with national Under-17 title

TJs Under-17s ended a remarkable season by being crowned national champions after a comprehensive 38-17 victory over Lymm at Worcester Warriors’ Sixways in the RFU Under-17 National Cup final.

Ade Lipede scored two tries, while full-back Toby Seal’s tally was 18 points with six kicks from six and a try as well, earning him the man of the match award.

Other scores came from fly-half James Gardner and Guy Kennedy.

The academy side had already won both the Kent League and Cup and the South East Divisional Cup.

This is the second National Cup in three seasons for TJs Academy – the Under-18s won two years ago.
