Hockey: Glubb strike for Tunbridge Wells Ladies tames mighty Brom Becks

AFTER a run of good wins in recent weeks, Wells had to settle for a draw with East Region Division One South pacesetters Brom Becks, who had won all of their seven games so far.

Wells had the better of the first period, and were rewarded when Ana Glubb finished off a flowing move, smashing the ball home on the reverse stick.

In the second half, Brom Becks started to show their form and found the equaliser midway through the half.

Wells raised their game with player of the match Harrie Alexander working tirelessly, but they could not claim the three points.

Wells to stay in fourth place, having become the first side to take points off the league leaders.

They now travel to Holcombe on Saturday [November 18].
