TUNBRIDGE WELLS men’s 1st XI regained some vital league momentum with a win over neighbours Sevenoaks.

The visitors capitalised on early mistakes and took the lead within the first five minutes. This finally created some fire in the Wells players.

The response came from Dan Barnaby, who managed to slot home a perfectly executed short corner into the bottom left-hand side of the goal.

Unfortunately, Wells dropped back into first gear and conceded a very scrappy goal to go behind again on the stroke of half-time.

With the arrival of player-coach Ben Allberry for the second half, Wells gained some confidence.

With pressure building, Matt Wilson, a former Sevenoaks player, equalised for Wells.

Some strong forward play allowed Callum Hunter Wood to score a third, and after a foul in the D Allbery roofed the ball into the top left corner to ensure victory from a penalty stroke.
