Capture beauty of Bewl Water to win a meal

STUNNING reservoir Bewl Water is the subject of a new ‘Best of Bewl’ photography competition to showcase its variety of natural scenes.

Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the largest body of water in the South East boasts blankets of wild garlic, snowdrops and bluebells at this time of year.

“If you’re venturing out for a leisurely walk or bike ride, or you just want to sit by the water for a while, make sure you remember your camera and you could be the proud owner of the winning snap,” said Andrew Daniells, Chief Operating Officer of Markerstudy Leisure, which owns Bewl Water.

“Or maybe you came earlier in the year and caught Bewl Water on a crisp winter’s day, or when the blankets of snow took over. We’d love to see entries reflecting the best of Bewl Water throughout the seasons,” he added.

To enter the competition, post your pictures on social media using the hashtag #bestofbewlwater by May 1. There is no limit to the number of entries you can submit.

The winner will receive a three-course meal and house drinks for two at the Boat House Bistro next to the reservoir.

An enlarged canvas of the winning entry will go on display at Bewl Water, and will be featured in the Times and on social media.
