Coffee of the week: Grub & Liquor

braised endives

We’re continuing that Bank Holiday feeling by getting our caffeine kick from a cocktail

We went to

Grub & Liquor on Nevill Street by The Pantiles. And although they do sell (very nice) coffee, we decided to think outside of the box for this drink.

We had

An espresso martini, which is a fancier way of getting your caffeine fix for sure!

We thought

The look

What isn’t to love? Served in a martini glass with a creamy top and scattered with coffee beans, this sure beats the standard black coffees I usually have! It’s probably not as acceptable to drink at your desk in a mug though

The taste

SO. GOOD. The kahlua gives the cocktail a creamy taste, and teamed with the freshly prepared coffee it’s delicious.

The price

The regular price is £7.45 which is pretty good, but during happy hour this glass of deliciousness will only set you back £5 – so it’s definitely reasonable to have more than one

The extensive cocktail menu here is pretty impressive, so it’s well worth trying several for *research purposes*. This is a strong contender for the best on the list though. And I’ve tried a LOT of them.
