Paul Dunton shares his favourite things to see and do locally

Where do you live, and what made you decide to move there?

I have lived in Rusthall for around 20 years now and before that grew up in the nearby village of Fordcombe.

What’s your favourite shop locally, and where’s best for a coffee or spot of lunch while you’re out?

My favourite shop locally is JB’s Music store! Best stop for coffee and lunch is Trinity Theatre Caf, superb food coffee is great too!

How about nightlife – what’s it like?

Tunbridge Wells is blessed with an incredibly strong live music scene so outside of running shows at The Grey Lady I can often be found at the likes of The Forum, Trinity Theatre, The Beau Nash and The Royal Oak Pub. Always enjoy a beer at The Compasses, Fuggles, The Ragged Trousers and Sankeys too!

My favourite place for dinner is definitely Alexandra’s Greek Restaurant in Camden Road.

When out and about, where’s the best place to go for a Sunday stroll, and are there any nice views?

I love walking in and around The High Rocks and The Beacon area and particularly the Ashdown Forest, the views are stunning.

Where do you take people when they come to visit?

I love to take friends and family to Dunorlan Park and Calverley Grounds I think both are beautiful parks and The Pantiles is a really enchanting and historical place with a wonderful atmosphere.
