In theknow: Hollie O’Callaghan

Royal Victoria Grove was planted in honour of Queen Victoria's visit to Tunbridge Wells

The owner of Hollie’s Little Cakery tells us about her favourite places locally

Where do you live, and how long have you lived there?
I’ve lived in Southborough for the whole 25 years of my life!

What’s your favourite shop locally, and where’s best for a coffee or spot of lunch while you’re out?
Apart from my shop(!) my favourite is ‘Curious George’ in Tonbridge which is a trove of one-off gifts -I could spend hours in there! Anyone who knows me, knows I am a coffee fiend and I love The Cake Shed on The Pantiles. For lunch, Vittle and Swig, always!

Where’s your go-to place for dinner or drinks?
For drinks, I’m a gin girl so a visit to Chapel Place is always perfect. For dinner, I go a little closer to home and eat at the Hand and Sceptre – the battered halloumi and chips is to die for!

Where’s the best place to go for a stroll?
Southborough Common is my go-to for a nice, relaxing strollplus there’s a rope swing which lets you unleash your inner child! It’s also perfect for walking your dogs – unfortunately, I don’t have oneYET!

Where do you take people when they come to visit?
Hever Castle would be my choice; it’s so stunning and memorable. The views are incredible and in addition, the Henry VIII pub is just down the road and it serves the yummiest burgers in the nicest atmosphere (especially in the summer in their pub garden!)
