RISE TO THE OCCASION

Easter cookery pop-up at Chiddingstone Castle on April 11.

This is a day of Easter themed baking from scratch for everybody to enjoy. Local food expert Jo Banks will be on hand to teach you fun techniques to achieve successful bread and pastry making. All ingredients and equipment are provided, as well as an apron. But do bring your own packed lunch as the event will be running from 10am to 3.30pm. The day will include an exclusive VIP tour of the castle. There will also be Funny Bunny Easter Hunts from April 14-17 and 21-24.

CHANCE YOUR ARM

Archery sessions at Bodiam Castle from April 6-22

Every day during the school holidays, experts from the Hawking Centre will be at Bodiam Castle so your children can become knights and princesses for a day and try their hand at archery. There’s no need to pre-book, just turn up and follow the signs to the archery centre and then a visitor reception team will guide you. The minimum price per session is £3, and sessions run from 10.30am to 4pm.
