DIVE INTO THE UNDERWATER WORLD

Captain Blackbeard’s Close Encounter

Join the Captain and some of his sea crew at Penshurst Place as they regale you with stories of their encounters with a beastly creature – and the surprising turn their trip took...

TABLE MANNERS

Children aged 10 and under will be able to enjoy complimentary food and an Easter egg hunt at the Hotel Du Vin on Crescent Road, Tunbridge Wells from April 6-20.

Take a break from scoffing all that chocolate over Easter by treating your children’s tastebuds to some complimentary delights from the tempting menu on offer at the Hotel Du Vin.

After they’ve feasted, the children can head off on a free Easter egg hunt. Clues will be dotted around the hotel and the surrounding gardens.

Hever Castle and Gardens Easter activities on from April 6-22

Channel your child’s inner detective by sending them on a special hunt at Hever Castle for colourful carrots and cute bunnies around the grounds of this stunning estate. If they – and you – are feeling in a creative mood then why not try to create the best Easter bonnet at the
daily crafts workshop? Children can also have their faces painted for a small additional charge.

RISE TO THE OCCASION

Easter cookery pop-up at Chiddingstone Castle on April 11.

This is a day of Easter themed baking from scratch for everybody to enjoy. Local food expert Jo Banks will be on hand to teach you fun techniques to achieve successful bread and pastry making. All ingredients and equipment are provided, as well as an apron. But do bring your own packed lunch as the event will be running from 10am to 3.30pm. The day will include an exclusive VIP tour of the castle. There will also be Funny Bunny Easter Hunts from April 14-17 and 21-24.

CHANCE YOUR ARM

Archery sessions at Bodiam Castle from April 6-22

Every day during the school holidays, experts from the Hawking Centre will be at Bodiam Castle so your children can become knights and princesses for a day and try their hand at archery. There’s no need to pre-book, just turn up and follow the signs to the archery centre and then a visitor reception team will guide you. The minimum price per session is £3, and sessions run from 10.30am to 4pm.
