Caroline’s Kitchen cast have fun in Rosemary Shrager’s cooking class

The play centres on fictional celebrity chef, Caroline Mortimer, as she tries to keep things together as her distinctly middle-class family distintegrates around her.

Caroline has to cope with her socialist son’s revelation about his sexuality, a husband in the midst of a mid-life crisis, a new personal assistant with a drug problem, not to mention tabloid revelations about her drinking, and all the while she is attempting to keep her affair with handyman Graeme a secret.

Caroline Langrishe as Caroline, Jasmyn Banks as Amanda, Aden Gillett as the wonderfully brash Mike, Elizabeth Boagas as Sally, Tom England as Leo and James Sutton as Graeme, looked as if they were having as much fun in Rosemary’s kitchen this week as the audience have been having at the Assembly Hall watching this marvellous Torben’s Betts production.

Caroline’s Kitchen is on until Saturday. Tickets and times.
