Shepherd Neame, the brewer which runs the Royal Wells Hotel, is toasting a ‘record set of results’ after pre-tax profits grew by 10.7 per cent to £10.3million, while turnover increased 1.2 per cent to £139.9million year on year.
The Kent-based firm, which claims to be Britain’s oldest brewer with a heritage stretching back to 1698, also reported in its results, which were published last week, a 4.4 per cent rise in like-for-like sales across its 54 pubs for the year ending June 25.
