Manager sought for Pembury charity café

THE BLUEBELL Café in Pembury, run by disability charity Aspens, is seeking a paid manager for 30 hours a week, to run daily operations and motivate staff.

The café offers experience to many of the people with learning disabilities and on the autism spectrum helped by Aspens.

“Being part of the Bluebell Café team will give you the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities and on the autism spectrum, many of whom volunteer and work in the café and are regular customers,” said Aspens.

Previous coffee shop experience and communication skills are essential for any new manager, who will have responsibility for scheduling shifts, ordering, and monitoring expenditure and revenues.

An effective manager will have the opportunity to make a difference in business terms, increasing profitability and boosting customer engagement.

However, the charity underlined that it was essential for applicants to be ‘driven by our core values of empowerment, inclusivity and integrity’.
