Lifestyle and leisure are on sale at Frant development

Frant offers the ideal mix of access to education and lifestyle, according to an estate agent marketing a new development in the village.

Marketing the ‘Sussex View’ complex of newbuilds, Wood & Pilcher said the Kent-East Sussex border location was central to providing an idyllic version of village life, with views, walks and village pubs – with access to all the amenities.

Frant is a picturesque village set around a central green situated in the Wealden district of East Sussex, and renowned for its bustling community spirit and close proximity to the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

The village has a small high street of period buildings, a shop with café, village hall and hairdresser. There is a choice of two highly-regarded and welcoming village pubs.

The village boasts a nursery school and primary, but preparatory schools nearby include Holmewood House in Langton Green and Rosehill and The Mead in Tunbridge Wells.

For secondary students, the area boasts community colleges in Wadhurst, Crowborough and Heathfield, while independent senior schools in the area include Tonbridge School for boys, Mayfield School for girls, and co-ed options at Sevenoaks, Brighton and Eastbourne.

Recreational activities in the area are extensive, with cricket, football and bowling clubs within the village; sailing, cycling and fishing at Bewl Water; spectacular walking and riding routes in the Ashdown Forest and racing nearby at Lingfield Park, Plumpton and Brighton.

There are a number of golf courses in the area and several private membership health spas in Tunbridge Wells.

Frant has its own station at Bells Yew Green, 2.3 miles from the village, one stop from Tunbridge Wells within 2.5 miles.

Both stations serve London Bridge, Waterloo East, Charing Cross, Cannon Street to the north, and Hastings on the south coast.

Meanwhile, drivers can access the M25 via the A21 just north of Tunbridge Wells, linking to the national motorway networks and airports.

Gatwick Airport lies approximately 26.5 miles to the west and Ashford International Station about 31.7 miles to the east.
