High business churn revealed in new data

Tunbridge Wells borough has recorded the second highest rate of new business creation and business failures in Kent, recently released figures have revealed.

Kent County Council data shows that 815 new companies were founded in 2014 (the last year data was available), second only to Maidstone (920) and above Tonbridge (715). However, 660 businesses also folded in the town that year as opposed to 475 in Tonbridge.
