Ginger May celebrates 10th birthday

CEO Victoria Usher founded GingerMay in 2009 because she couldn’t find a suitable enough job that would allow her to also be a hands on parent.

A decade later and the businesses has become synonymous as a leading PR firm for the very latest tech companies to emerge from Silicon Valley.

With offices in London and New York, the operation is still run from their HQ overlooking The Pantiles. The company also employs around 50 people in both London and Tunbridge Wells.

This month, Ms Usher and her employees celebrated the ten years of business with a 1920s-
themed celebration at the Buxted Park Hotel.

“I founded GingerMay because I was unable to find a job with career progression that would allow me to also be a hands-on parent,” said Ms Usher.

“Little did I know that ten years later we would be celebrating our anniversary as a multi-award-winning business with world-leading technology clients, global offices, and 50 members of staff.”

She continued: “We’re proud of everything we have achieved during this time, particularly our mission to promote a positive work-life balance.

“This remains an overlooked area, yet is essential to encourage working parents to continue with their careers.

“With an exceptional staff retention rate and numerous company culture awards in the cabinet, our efforts are paying off, and we know we are inspiring other businesses to adopt the same proactive approach.

“We have huge ambitions for the future and the coming decade will certainly be an interesting one.

“Our next goal is to become the most sustainable PR agency in the world, so watch this space.

“Of course, the biggest thank you goes to our team, clients, and the incredible Tunbridge Wells network for their support over the past decade. We couldn’t have achieved all of this without you.”
