TUNBRIDGE WELLS has retained its reputation as an attractive place to do business after pensions, investments and employee benefit company Corinthian chose the town as the new base for its headquarters
The firm brought 20 jobs to the town after relocating from Croydon at the start of the month, and has chosen Windsor House in Mount Ephraim Road for its offices.
Corinthian will provide its pension advice to small businesses around the country, supported by a further 10 people in the North West and M4 corridor.
Managing Director Rob MacGregor, said: “We have grown rapidly since we were created in December 2012, and outgrown our previous offices.
“Having lived in Tunbridge Wells for more than 20 years I knew what the town had to offer. The senior management team and staff saw the potential and were very happy to move from Croydon.”
“Since we took the decision to move to Tunbridge Wells we have recruited five people locally, and have plans for a further 15 more staff over the next couple of years.”
Mr MacGregor, who is chairman of the Linden Park Cricket Club in his spare time, acknowledged the rapid decline of office space in the town had forced them to relocate quickly.
“We knew high quality office space in Tunbridge Wells was in short supply and so moved quickly when Windsor House became available. With our significant growth, we needed a long-term head office and we are now looking to open regional offices in the North West and South West,” he said.
Corinthian’s offices were previously occupied by Cripps before the law firm moved to its new offices on 22 Mount Ephraim earlier this year.
