Tunbridge Wells to get a late night bus to Knights Park

Bus passengers will be able to take the bus back from Tunbridge Wells Odeon cinema until late with a new Arriva service.

The company announced this week it is to extend the timetable for the 277 route which connects North Farm and Knights Park estate with the town centre station.

When the timetable is enforced from July 8, it will give cinema-goers the chance to get the bus back to town at 10.45pm, more than two hours later than the current final service, which leaves at 8.10pm.

The last bus from Tunbridge Wells railway station will leave for Knights Park at 11.15pm.

Hollywood Bowl, Nuffield Health, Frankie & Benny’s and the Hop House pub are also based at the estate.

Some bus services will also extend to the new Knights Wood housing development.

Lauren Edmonds, Marketing Manager for Arriva Kent and Surrey, said: ‘After reviewing feedback from our customers in Tunbridge Wells, we wanted to extend our 277 service to run later.

‘It will give passengers more freedom to catch the latest blockbuster or dine out with friends, whilst letting Arriva be the designated driver.

‘We’re always keen to hear what our customers have to say about our services, as it’s the feedback we get from passengers that allows us to make these kinds of beneficial changes.

‘We hope the developments will serve to benefit our passengers in the Tunbridge Wells area.’
