Tunbridge Wells lawyers make charity parachute jump

Premier Inn Tunbridge Wells

THE sky was not the limit for staff from law firm Cripps who embraced their daredevil side in a parachute jump.

Victoria Rowing, Marisa Lambkin, Natasha Holme and Kathryn Gurr took part in a tandem skydive at Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent, to raise more than £2,000 for Rethink Mental Health.

Cripps, which has an office at Mount Ephraim, is one of the leading law firms in Tunbridge Wells and has been recognised for its corporate, real estate and private client work.

But rarely will the firm’s four legal ladies have faced a test of this nature.

Kathryn Gurr, who co-organised the trip, said: ‘None of us had done a skydive before, so the roller-coaster of emotions we felt through the whole experience was intense.

‘It ranged from nauseating nerves, to adrenaline-fuelled excitement, and the intense relief that you made it back to the ground.’

Rethink Mental Illness supports thousands of people every year through crises and helps sufferers to live independently.

The choice was a popular one for Cripps to support.

Ms Gurr continued: ‘We are so incredibly proud to have raised more than £2,000 for such a worthy cause.’
