Tunbridge Wells law firm Cripps enjoy record turnover

Cripps, one of the leading law firms and biggest employers Tunbridge Wells, has posted its best ever financial results.

In the 2017/18 financial year, the company saw turnover grow by 8 per cent to £31.6million.

This saw Cripps make a net profit of £7.4million, which represents a 24 per cent rise from last year, which pleased Managing Partner Gavin Tyler.

He said: ‘These record results are a great achievement and testament to the work our staff put in for a number of years.

‘Considering the substantial investments we have continued to make over the past 12 months, we set ourselves some fairly ambitious financial targets and we are delighted to have not only met, but exceeded, these figures.’

The firm has an office in the former Kent & Sussex Hospital site on Mount Ephraim, Tunbridge Wells, where 360 staff are employed.

Cripps, who are well-regarded for their corporate, real estate and private client work, also has bases in Kings Hill and London, where they recently opened a new office near Cannon Street railway station.

Mr Tyler continued: ‘Looking at the year ahead, our focus remains on continuing to grow our practice in the South East and London.’
